So this "new" facility that I was unfamiliar with is six years old.
I think you should delete this thread. Thank you very much for your help.

I had this issue with a similar user. We could not delete her flagged items because of the same error you got with the exception of line 950.
It turned out that she was on another list in which she was retaining all emails. Once we removed her from that list (temporarily) we were able to then delete the folder containing her flagged items (tasks). After doing so we had the user restart Outlook and it successfully repopulated the tasks with not only her old tasks but the ones she was flagging while we were trying to figure out the issue.
Hope this helps!

MFCMAPI has no capability to mount an Exchange store. If you want MFCMAPI to view this data, put it back into Exchange and get it into a mailbox you can point a profile at.

Please don't pollute my bug database. MFCMAPI doesn't do anything with Exchange databases. MAPI doesn't do anything with Exchange databases. Like I said, if you want to look at an Exchange database, you need to put the database back into Exchange.
Your question is about Exchange 2010 backup and restore. Here's a Bing search to get you started:
http://www.bing.com/search?q=exchange+2010+restore+backup
I'll give you a hint though - you don't back up Exchange databases by copying the .edb files. Read this thread to get an idea why:

Looking for in depth information on using MFCMAPI to recover emails in Recoverable Items. I need to recover all emails within this folder, and want to do it correctly. I've searched for any info on this, but I have not found anything. Any help is appreciated.

New Post: Recoverable Items
I had already read a few articles on Single Item Recover, but I read it anyways. It was helpful. Not much detail on using MFCMAPI, but enough to get the job done. I had tried using OWA to recover the items, but there are over 900. Employee left company, & company wants deleted items. Outlook 2003 did not provide the function in the tool bar to recover deleted files. Not sure why, checked registry setting. It is enabled. I thought that there might be a way thru the Exchange Console or Shell to do it, though I have not found it yet. Possibly using the search function? Something to look into more in depth. The MFCMAPI tool did the job. Glad that I found it.
Thanks for the help!

I'm experiencing this same issue, but trying to delete the to-do-search folder.(Hard Delete). What exactly do you mean that the user was on another list?

New Post: Archive mailbox in mailbox table
Hi there,
You may know that GetMailbxTable in MFCMAPI returns both primary mailboxes and archive mailboxes. I checked all the properties of a mailbox and it seems no properties to flag whether a primary or archive mailbox. I cannot find any any clue in the MAPI reference either.
Could anyone give me clue?
Thanks in advance!

New Post: MFCMAPI Reminders
Hi there,
i hope somebody can provide some help, i've installed the MFCMAPI software onto my computer and i am using it to look at my reminders. One of the columns have 'Att?' with values of True and False, can sombody kindly tell me what these values represent in relation to reminders?
Also as a general query, the icons that reprensented by an exclamation mark or clock icons, is there a 'Legend' with this tool that i can read that tells me what they mean? As i couldn't find any documentation on what they represent.

Hover on column headers to find out which property is represented. The Att? column is PR_HASATTACH.
The icons are matched to the property type column.

New Post: Large .pst File Shows Empty?
Hello,
Earlier I used MFCMAPI to get rid of Deleted Items and Search Folders within my offline files (pst) folder in Outlook. After reloading Outlook, none of the original folders from the pst are displaying in Outlook. There are only 2 folders, both empty: Deleted Items and Search Folders. I assume that these were automatically regenerated.
The original pst file is 580MB, so the old data is clearly still present but undisplayed. What is the best way to recover the emails?
It should be noted that my inbox and ost file still work normally, only the offline files were affected.

The old data may not actually be there. It may be whitespace, which you can report on using mrmapi, as described here:

New Post: any way to export/import search folders?
i've been on this for a few days now but still can't find a way of doing this. the closest i got to when googling, is that i found mfcmapi with which i can log into a session and see the search folders under the search root folder. i can also see the restriction text which is in some nasty programming language as ugly as swahili :) i can see that the code contains the keywords/addresses that i used in the search query definition.
but how do i export this and recreate these folders on another machine?
i know these are virtual folders, i don't want to export any actual contents, i'm looking for a way to export the search string or something, so i can quickly recreate the search folders on several computers in a specific team in our company, without having to manually recreate them.
using outlook 2010
not using exchange server
i originally wanted to use IMAP folders with subfolders (server side) and whole neat folder structure with messages being sorted into folders based on rules, but that proved quite a pain to achieve. so single mailbox+search folders is the alternative i'm looking into.
